The Rosebud Guest House is located on 40 acres of animal-friendly property. We are pet-friendly--in the usual sense--plus you can bring your horses, mules, llamas, alpacas, or . . . ask us about some other species of livestock you're traveling with. We can't handle a whole herd, but we have corral space to accommodate your livestock during your stay, whether you're using them to enjoy riding or packing in the area or just passing through. Consider lodging with us if you're planning to travel with animals on U.S. Highway 40 and want to stop overnight. We're only 4.5 miles off the highway. (We require advance reservations for humans and animals.)
The Rosebud Guest House is in Fruitland, near the western edge of Duchesne County. Fruitland is on U.S. Highway 40, 50 miles southeast of Heber City and 25 miles west of Duchesne. We provide lodging within easy driving distance of many wonderful sites and activities. The guest house is located in the Red Creek Canyon, 4.5 miles south of U. S. Highway 40 on the Red Creek Road. The setting provides beauty, peace, and quiet.
The guest house is situated on the premises of the Rosebud Llamas Utah ranch, in a river canyon between two mountain ranges. We live here and operate an outfitter-guide business featuring llama pack trips, day hikes, packing and training clinics and consultation, llama shearing, and other llama activities.
When you stay here, you will be close to everything the Uintah Basin has to offer. Much of it is just down the road or around the corner. The guest house is affordable, too, so you can stay longer and do more.
